WHAT A WEEK....

I feel like I could drop I am so exhausted!

Tuesday last week we ran around picking outfits for Mark's fancy dress party, wow what an ordeal that was. I then drove to Sydney airpot to pick up my neice at 530pm then had to pick up Mark's two brothers one of their wives and 3 more kiddies at 11pm. Finally got home at 1am.
Wednesday the boy's (Mark, his two brothers and stepdad) went to the Gosford races and then to pub, picked them up at 12ish and let's just say that they were very cheery. My sister inlaw and I stayed home with five kids 3 and under, 6yr old, 7yr old and 12yr old. During feeding, cleaning, refereeing, bathing and a little drink or two we had to make a birthday cake and organise stuff for Mark's party. Extremely busy day!
Thursday My Mother-In-Law, myself, 2 sister- in- laws and 9 kids went to see Disney on Ice at Newcastle. It was freezing cold but a fantastic show for the kids. That night as a treat for the ladies we went to dinner and then to see Mamma Mia, it was a great film. We all had a giggle and a sing-a-long. I can't wait to see it again. Home again at 12.30ish.
Friday we ran around getting last minute stuff for the party, finished off outfits, had everyone here for dinner. Everyone was 9 adults, 4 teenagers and 13 kids!!! You have to know my house to understand the stress factor in this, our house is way too small (actually I think a castle would still be too small for that) LOL.
Saturday The big 40 for my husband and 16th for my son. It was a fantastic night, nearly everybody came in fancy dress. The weather was great. We had about 70 people here and you know how it is you've got to have 1 clown at every party. Well we had about 3 woman that acted up, did the whole look what I've had for breaky thing and had fun with everyone else's husbands. Not my friends by the way just wives of husbands friends. They kept everyone else either laughing or wanting to smack them one. Over all it was a terrific night, I hit the pillow at 4am then up at 7am looking for husband. He was still up drinking with another mate they finally hit (literally) the bed at 1ish on the Sunday afternoon.
Sunday Busy with clean up and then mellow. Family were all here for bacon and egg rolls at 11ish.
Today being Monday Mark has taken some of the family to Sydney I have done some more cleaning and jumped on here. The cleaning just doesn't seem to end. You'd think with more adult's it might be easier but no... just more and more.
I've worn myself out recounting the week so now I'm off for a nanny nap will post some pics later.
Have a great week!

Oh should of said I ended up going as Cindy Lauper and Mark went as Pink! Will post a pic ASAP

ABBA.....

Last night I went to see an Abba tribute show. Not quite what I hoped for but anyway still had a good night. Probably had just that one too many drinks, my body is paying for it today, very tired and the old tummy is feeling just a little unsettled ;-) LOL

Us chickies posing for a pic.

Lots of singing and dancing done by all. Actually the place was full of oldies, probably only 20 or so people there under 40yrs. A couple or real groovers in amongst them though.

Hanging up the paper and glue....

for about three weeks anyway. School holidays are beginning here and I have the inlaws coming for Mark's 40th. They will be here for a week and then the kids and I are heading off to Windang to my Mother In Law's caravan for a few days. So no scrapping will be done here:-(
Our house is small inside so my stuff is actually being packed into containers/boxes and stored in the shed (much to my husbands disgust, taking up his space that is)LOL! We will have too many little ones here for anything to be left out. 7 kids that are 3 and under and then another 5 under12. They are not all sleeping here but will be here during the days. If I don't appear to be on here send the SES looking for me, who knows what could happen!
Actually I'm very excited and really looking forward to all the cousins being together. I will post some pics as the days progress. Oh and Mark's party is themed music legends so will def put pics here of that, should be a good laugh.
Happy NSW school holidays! :-)

Inkurable Stampers.....

I stumbled across this site a few days ago. I decided to give their monthly challenge a go, this months was TAGS using the theme TIME. You had to create a tag to use on a card, layout etc the idea was you use the word time and you MUST use at least one stamp. For more info visit here http://inkurablestampers.blogspot.com/2008/06/theme-for-june-is.html.

Funny thing..........I forgot that I actually had to make a tag so the original LO I did didn't have the tag. I realised after I had emailed it and started to post here. So for the last 20 minutes I have had to make changes to the Lo, upload another pic of it and re email it. Nothing like leaving things till the last minute. The challenge ends at midnight tonight. My DH is here rolling his eyes and I can just hear his mind ticking "she's at it again, last minute jobs".

Thanks for checking my blog out :-)

I've finally done it......

I have been checking out the Aussie Scrapjacked site and I have finally participated after procrastinating about it for ages. That's me a PROCRASTINATOR, shocker I know!
I'm sharing my LO here on my take of Nicole Anderson's layout.

I have also been busy with some circle journals for the One stop scrapping DT. One of them required some journalling about why we love our country, so here's how mine goes....

AUSTRALIA Fair dinkum mate, it's a great place. I love having a barbie, putting out some tucker and grog. If you happen to come a gutser, she'll be right mate someone will pick you up and set you on the right track. I love to veg out with my ankle biters, chuck on our bathers and go where the surfies hang or going for an arvo drive to "woop woop". My dream it to do a round Oz trip with my hubby and rugrats!

....as you can see I decided to use some good old Aussie slang.

Another required a quote beginning with the word "SHE", here's a beautiful quote I found on the net (I had to alter it a little so that it began with the word SHE)...

SHE never existed before,

The woman existed, but the mother, never.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.

A mother is something absolutely new. Rajneesh

I really love this quote and feel it suits me. Hope you are all having a great beginning to the weekend!

1st POST YAY!!

Hi, I am a newbie at this so forgive me if I stuff it up! It may take me a while to get the hang of things. I love to blog hop so figured I should start my own.

I have a very supportive husband, Mark, 20yr severely disabled son Scott, 16yr son Max, 16yr neice Kiralee, 13yr stepson Josh, 12yr nephew Aaron, 7yr foster child Dylan, 6yr son Harry and last but not least 3yr daughter Bella. My life as you can see is BUSY!! I love to have time out to scrap. I have been scrapping for about 18months - 2yrs. I was on the Design Team for One Stop Scrapping this year. I resigned not too long ago due to family commitments. I would love to try and get a Design Team position again in the future when all permits.

Until next time thanks for reading and take care. x
